Center of swiveling can be easily indexed,
even for ball end mills with different tool lengths. This
enables high precision grinding of the tip R to be consistently
performed. The CNJ2u
features a direct-acting U axis installed on the rotary(swiveling)
W axis. All machining is integrated into the rotating
A axis and swiveling W axis, minimizing the factors that
can have an adverse effect on machining precision.
A variety of standard and optional
features boost pre-cision and automate operation. A touch sensor
on the CNJ2u detects
the tool position and grinding wheel po-sition. In addition,
grinding wheel dressing and truing can be automatically performed
on the machine.(option) The high rigidity of the machine body
and standard automatic spindle temperature controller (Oilmatic)
maintain high precision during high-speed high-power grinding.
A wide variety of grinding wheel spindles are available
for the CNJ2u. The grinding
wheel spindle specifications that are ideally matched to machining
conditions can be selected.

The double end tapered grinding wheel spindle on the CNJ2u-W
expands the range of tool diameters, lengths and shapes that
can be ground. This makes the grinding wheel layout more flexible,
and enhancesthe machining applications.
