Makino Seiki has developed the 'CNS7d' with a new mechanism in response to the demand for high-precision grinding of small diameter tools. This machine incorporates a wide variety of innovations to facilitate delicate and precise machining, developed with exhaustive attention to satisfy the needs of small-diameter high-precision grinding.

Machine Body Structure

Can be used for a wide range of grinding purposes

  1. Structure of this machine minimizes posture deformation caused by changes in temperature.
  2. Thick and robust structure controls influences by vibration and other factors.
  3. Adopting scale feedback to linear axes, direct drive to rotary axes, the machine eliminates the influences of backlash and enables accurate machining at all times.
  4. Motor that generates a low amount of heat has been adopted in the grinding wheel spindle. This, combined with the standard automatic temperature controller, virtually isolates the machine from heat generation and maintains a consistently high-level of grinding precision.
  5. Grinding fluid is also managed by the automatic temperature controller, and it protects the machine from the influence of posture deformation.
  6. Using a grinding wheel dresser which is equipped in a standard model, the machine maintains the ideal grinding wheel shape at all times.
  7. The automatic workpiece changer built into the machine can hold a maximum of 300 workpieces, facilitating unmanned operation for a long period of time.
